Packaging Working Group

PVC cling film is a thin plastic film with a remarkable ability to stretch and the particular characteristic to form a tight seal. It is mainly used to extend product shelf life by protecting food from micro-organisms and preserve the quality of packaged products. It's mainly used in the retail sector and food processing industries to wrap food (e.g. meat, cheese, fruits).

The main goal of the Packaging Working Group is to highlight the benefits of PVC cling film and to ensure a safe and sustainable manufacturing of the material.

Europe's major PVC cling film producers are represented by the European Film Manufacturers Association, EPFMA.
